Rise Kujikawa becoming the Mask - Coloured by MaskedWander Rise Kujikawa becoming the Mask - Coloured by MaskedWander
A request done by :iconsdkzero: for :iconmegalinx: of Rise Kujikawa donning the Mask and transforming into her Idol persona of Risette.

Original Artist: sdkzero.deviantart.com/
Original Artwork : sdkzero.deviantart.com/art/Ris...

I think I might of done a bit of overkill in the detailing in the colouring , but then again it was rather enjoyable even with the hug amount of work I had to do. I coloured everything with two layers of shadow which was rather interesting. The background is a reference to one of the game's promotional artwork and the T.V in the game itself.... there are a lot of squares that make up that background and I had to make that pattern by using the squares.
I am rather happy with how everything turned out , especially how the twister looks.

Amazing! Love the color blending of the twister. Also neat background. :D

Why didn't you include the masks and lighting designs on her kimono?

I felt that the pattern when coloured looked off , as well as being slightly problematic when creating the shadows. As well as the problem of making the kimono colours match was hard enough as it is. I am glad you enjoyed the Twister , that took a little while to look good. The Background is refreshing isn't it :3

Wow!

It would seem your coloring style and your line weights are more convergent than before. Like to the point where it's not just outlining for the sake of coloring it but rather making some consciously aesthetic choices on line thickness where it complements shading.

This HAD to be a "pet project" between you two :B

Damn, man.  This is a big step up from your usual transformation coloring sequences.  The background really works, too.  Fantastic job. :)

Thanks , there is a reason it took so long to colour. The background took a long while to create.
